Rio Samba

This is one of our older rose bushes.... according to one Bryon Whitley has we decided maybe the name is Rio Samba.    It bloomed first in 2011.   It is an orange with a tint of yellow among it.

White Rose

I bought this white rose at Walmart last year. It is solid white except for a very light pink tint along the outer edge.  (At the end of the steps to the deck)

The closest to a purple rose that we have.   We got this one at Lowe's last year.    It's at the end starting down the deck going toward the road.

We dug this rose bush up from the Deweese's when they sold the property to Lowe's.   One of the guys that Larry had worked with at Gaston's told Larry if we wanted anything out of the yard we better be digging it up because the next day they were tearing down the house and it would be gone in debris.    It was raining and dark, but Larry got a shovel and we went and dug it up.    It has so many blooms on it and smells so good!

This is a rose that we have had for many years.... not even sure where we got it!

This yellow rose is really pretty, it blooms out quick and doesn't last very long.   It does smell great though.    Not sure where we got it.   Maybe at Lowe's.  

Zinnias and Marigolds

I bought this white rose at Walmart last year.   It is solid white except for a very light pink tint along the outer edge.

I decided to try my luck with a few seeds so I got some zinnias seed and then Mom brought over some marigold and added to some empty spots.   So far they are doing pretty good!

Marigolds:  Full sun; 8+ hours daily sun; easy to grow; attracts butterflies; heat tolerant; attractive in containers; water at least once a week until established; not cold hardy; blooms spring to fall.

Geranium

Full sun; 8+hours daily sun; easy to grow.  Water  2-3 times per week until established.  Not cold hardy.   Blooms summer to fall.   Remove old flower stalks for repeat blooming.

English Daisy

Full Sun; 8+ hours daily sun; profuse blooms; outstanding color; attracts butterflies

Water 2-3 times per week until established; hardy to -30 degrees; blooms in the summer.

Patio Strawberry

Everybearing Strawberry; blooms in spring and summer; plant in full sun; water weekly during dry spells.   Juicy, vibrant red berries have a sweet, rich flavor; great for jellies, pies and fresh eating.  Plants produce two large crops, with sporadic fruiting in between.  Young plants form at the end of the runners.   Use these plantlets to replace older plants.  If planted in a container, check daily for water.

Heller's Janpanese Holly

Part sun, morning sunlight daily.  Lustrous, evergreenn foliage.

Water - low, once established.   Growth rate: slow; cold hardiness 0 to -10.  Prune to keep compact.  Fertilize early spring.   Average size 3-4' x 3-4'.

Dwarf Heavenly Bamboo (Nadnina)

Full sun - 6+ hour direct sun; Evergreen; purple-tingled, yellow-green leaves; beautiful red fall and winter foliage; good low hedge or border; water - semi moist; spacing 18"; growth rate medium; average size 24" x 24"; cold hardiness 0 to -10; little pruning required; fertilize spring.

Snapdragon

Full sun; 8+ hours, daily sun; drought resistant; bright cheerful blooms; deer resistant; water 2-3 times per week until established; tolerates light frost; blooms spring to fall.

Viola Starry Night

Profuse blooms; great at garden's edge; mounding habit; outstanding color; part sun, 4 -8 hours daily; water 2-3 times per week until established; hardy to -20 degrees.  Blooms in the spring and fall.

Tiny Nanny Asiatic Lily

Beautiful pure White flowers; clumping, upright habit; Full sun, 8 + hours; Upright Perennial; water semi moist; medium growth rate; cold hardiness  -30 to -40; remove spent flowers; fertilize in spring.
