Neighborhood Control Burn

Mack Jones said he was going to burn his brush piles from where he had all his trees cut in his front yard.    We were sitting at the table finishing up supper with some cheesecake when we heard the sirens from the fire trucks.   When I first got to the top of the street and saw those flames I thought it had gotten out of control and had caught his house on fire.    But it was all under control - the flames were really high and someone had seen it from Beacon Street and called it in so that's why the fire department came.    June 8, 2011
