Jonquils

Larry and I have been married 37 years.   I have always loved jonquils but we have never had any.   Last year I bought a couple of plants at Walmart in the spring and Larry set them out by the metal carport.    Then the fall of last year I bought several packs of bulbs and we sat them out before frost around one of the trees by the deck, across the back between the bradford pears by the stoplight bird feeder, two on the side of the pavers by the arbor and around the trees in the front yard with the MSU stuff!    They came up too early this year because of such warm weather in January and then the 2nd weekend in February it turned bitterly cold.... so they did good to bloom as much as they did!     Helen Guthrie shared some of hers with me this year.   She gave me some of the white with yellow center and some of the smaller yellow that we added around some more trees, filled in some of the spaces between where we already planted and finished on each end of the carport.  February, 2012
