Larry said we were going to decorate Friday after Thanksgiving. It was really cold first thing but working it didn't take long to warm up. This year we added lights going down the sidewalk so we had to fix some poles and wrap them with ribbon. Of course then we had to find/go to Walmart and buy some more lights. Larry fixed the gingerbread so that when he put them up they weren't warped. Then he had to hook everything up .... he spent all day working on it. And Molly stayed outside all day long Thursday helping us. She sure does love to stay outside. Then when we cut the lights on ... some of the lights weren't working. So on Saturday he put Mother's decorations out and finished ours. On Sunday we took one Gingerbread Man down and I had the idea that it needed coloring up some. Well that was a chore..... the paint I got at Walmart didn't cover up the brown. So Larry took it outside and sanded where I was going to paint and then I painted over it. We are going to kind of half way do it to make by this year and next year we are going to cut out some new ones. Then Larry put the old icicle lights around the metal carport. We hope next year to add some new decorations!
